CHICAGO, IL, March 30, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) has unveiled an online continuing medical education (CME) Repository for doctors, the only one of its kind in the field of cosmetic surgery. The AACS CME Repository provides a user-friendly, central online solution for AACS Members to view their Academy CMEs and also log their CMEs from other non-AACS educational events. Now all of a doctor's CME activities can be logged, tracked, printed and reported in one convenient and secure location that is accessed from the Academy's website, cosmeticsurgery.org

"The Academy continually strives to provide members with the latest tools, resources and technology to keep their practice on the cutting edge," said Dr. Gerald Edds, President of the AACS. "The CME Repository provides a convenient and accurate online tool to make tracking CME easy, and is a welcome addition to our already robust member benefits package."

The AACS CME Repository was beta-tested by Drs. Robert Burke, Trustee and Joseph Niamtu, who are long time Academy Members and regarded as among the most tech savvy. "This is a highly anticipated cutting-edge technology tool for cosmetic surgeons that will simplify the process of logging and reporting CME Credits," said Dr. Burke.

"The Repository offers a centralized solution to CME tracking. It offers robust features, but is also user-friendly, ensuring it is both accurate and fast to accommodate the busy schedule of a cosmetic surgeon," added Dr. Joseph Niamtu.

The CME Repository represents the latest in a string of technological advances introduced by the Academy over the past year, including a new mobile app, job board and fully digital medical journal, "The American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery." The Academy continues to move forward with new technology that will assist in creating awareness of the Academy globally and furthering its mission of advancing the specialty of cosmetic surgery and quality patient care.

"The AACS CME Repository helps further establish the Academy as the one-stop shop for professionals in the field of cosmetic surgery," said Dr. Edds. "From education to the latest information and research to premier online tools - all to help our members and their practices succeed while maintaining the highest level of quality patient care."

PALM DESERT, CA, April 18, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The surgeons at Cosmetic Surgery Institute of Palm Desert have released their newly redesigned website, which provides in-depth information about plastic surgery in the Palm Springs area.

Dr. Mo Zakhireh, a board-certified plastic surgeon at the practice, says the new website will help patients learn about the many surgical and non-surgical procedures the Cosmetic Surgery Institute (CSI) offers.

"One of our primary goals at CSI is to provide patients with the most up-to-date information on leading-edge procedures," Dr. Zakhireh says. "Our new website helps us deliver that information, while also featuring before-and-after photos of actual patients. This will help people develop a complete picture of how a particular treatment can fit into their lives."

Dr. Bruce Landon, a Riverside County plastic surgery specialist at CSI, says the new website will also help potential patients learn about the skilled staff and the warm but professional atmosphere of the practice.

"There's a lot more that goes into a patient's decision to have cosmetic surgery than just choosing a procedure," Dr. Landon says. "Our new website includes information about our qualifications and lets people see what previous patients have had to say about their experiences with us."

Whether a patient is interested in a non-surgical procedure, such as BOTOX Cosmetic, or something more extensive, such as breast augmentation in Riverside County, the surgeons at CSI are dedicated to creating natural-looking results.

Dr. Zakhireh and Dr. Landon consult with every patient to develop a personalized surgery plan. Their procedures are specifically tailored to help each patient achieve a beautifully enhanced appearance without looking overdone.

"Our entire staff works to provide patients with all of the tools they need to reach their cosmetic goals," Dr. Zakhireh says. "We guide our patients through the treatment process, and we are committed to continuing personal service, even after recovery.

"Our website will help people understand our special philosophy, and it will provide them with the information they need before visiting our practice. It also serves as an educational tool and resource guide, offering the latest information on many new procedures."

Dr. Mo Zakhireh, Dr. Bruce Landon and the entire team at Cosmetic Surgery Institute of Palm Desert (www.csipd.com) are dedicated to creating natural-looking results for patients with a wide variety of cosmetic needs. They offer a full array of surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they customize each treatment to suit the individual's needs. The board-certified plastic surgeons dedicate their extensive skills and training to help people look and feel their best. Whether you're interested in non-invasive skin care treatments or extensive cosmetic surgery, the CSI team is there to guide you through the process with the best in customer service every step of the way.
